Hiking has always been something I liked to do. Often more like walking, especially walking the dogs, but this year it has become more intense, a different importance, a different level.

Through all these early months of 2020 (the year of Covid 19 when the world came to a stop), a lot of us all of a sudden had a lot of time. This became my rhythm, my structure, my reflection on life, my healing, and most of all I found myself!
Being outside, connecting to the natural world has brought me an immense inner peace. I would love to encourage you to make “outside time” a priority in your life. Not only are you getting exercise and lots of oxygen but you will practise getting out of your head and into your heart.

That experience of no longer being separate but part of something very big: our immediate surroundings, the stunning planet we live on, the universe, the ever present energy that not only connects us all and everything around us but this huge being that we really are when we get out of our heads, away from the ego, into the state of “being in the moment”, feeling deep gratitude.
