About me

My name is Sibylle and I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I moved to Vancouver Island from Munich in Germany with my family more than 20 years ago and have been calling it home ever since.

I love cooking, hiking, yoga, learning new things, connecting with people, being in nature, and of course my dogs Luke and Yoda.

In spring, summer, and fall – our main travel season in Canada – I work as a tour director (just not this year!) and I have the privilege to accompany guests from all over the world across our beautiful country. I encounter wonderful people, gorgeous sites, often wildlife, and we have many adventures together.

“Enlightenment Guaranteed” was inspired way back from a German movie directed by Doris Dörrie from 1999 with main actors Uwe Ochsenknecht and Gustav Peter Wöhler. The two brothers in their midlife crisis go to Japan to attend a retreat in a Japanese Monastery. A lot of crazy stuff happens on the way and the time in the monastery turns out to be a life changing adventure.

“It’s not the Destination, it’s the journey.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

On that note, keep exploring, be adventurous, get out of your comfort zone, and appreciate every moment, every breath!
